BATTLE OF MONMOUTH SOCCER CLUB & CTR SOCCER ANNOUNCE NEW PARTNERSHIP

Battle of Monmouth Soccer Club and CTR Soccer are pleased to announce the formation of the new BOM/CTR partnership and training agreement, which will begin with U8 boys and girls team tryouts in the spring of 2019.  Select BOM soccer teams will be professionally trained and coached by CTR Soccer trainers using the U.S. Soccer Federation curriculum and exposed to the highest levels of player and team training and development.

The program is designed to give higher-level travel soccer players an opportunity to train in a professional, academy-like environment that appropriately focuses development on the tactical, technical, functional, and physical components of the game with the goal being to create more opportunities for such players to compete and gain exposure on the state and national stage.  Teams will follow a rigorous training regimen emphasizing player development, competition, learning, and dedication.

“The history of Battle of Monmouth Soccer Club has been about welcoming parent-coached teams, and that will remain a priority for us”, says Lindsey Nappi, President of Battle of Monmouth Soccer Club.  “The BOM paid trainer coach program through CTR Soccer will be separate from that, and our goal is to create a successful, recognized development program within the next three years.  Battle of Monmouth Soccer Club has a distinct advantage, as we aren’t a ‘town’ club, so we can attract a wider pool of players across the tri-state area, and we aren’t an ‘academy’, so we can maintain a lower cost per player than those programs.”

Established in 1985, the Battle of Monmouth Soccer Club has provided opportunities for youth soccer players to excel and become better soccer players.  Teams from the club have won multiple NJYS State Cup championships, and many have been ranked in the top-10 nationwide, with several boys and girls continuing to play for D1, D2, or D3 collegiate teams.

“We’re excited Battle of Monmouth Soccer Club has chosen to partner with CTR Soccer to support this initiative,” says Frank Rizzi, co-owner and chief executive for CTR Soccer.  “Our training and instruction is based on the player development curriculum of U.S. Soccer, and all training programs are created and approved by CTR’s Tab Ramos, the current U.S. Soccer Technical Youth Director.”

“At CTR Soccer, we strive to offer a learning environment conducive to maximizing player, team, and program development. The outstanding ability and attitude of our professional coaching staff is the primary reason for our success and reputation, and we look forward to continuing that success through the BOM Soccer Club.” says Matt Ritter, Director of Operations for CTR Soccer.
